Acoustic black holes and metamaterials: light weighting structures while keeping their vibration performance, could you believe it?

Business conference presentation
Acoustic black holes can probably contribute answering a strong constraint for the aerospace industry: the need for lighter and lighter structures to recude carbon footprint or allow setting onboard payloads more compatible with less powerful launchers. Without compromising their expected performance in terms of vibration damping. This is the challenge presented today by Florent MASSON, an acoustic and vibration engineer, NVH specialist, working with METRAVIB Design.
This conference proposed by METRAVIB is partly based on recent work performed with the support of CNES within an R&T innovation project, and benefits from the collaboration established with LAUM, the academic partner of ACOEM within the FULLFIELDS LabCom.
